Owl es un repositorio de usuarios múltiples o sistema basado en el conocimiento. Los usuarios son capaces de capturar los documentos y asignar atributos a ellos cuando el documento está cargado en el sistema . Otros usuarios son capaces de localizar los documentos, ya sea con la estructura de la jerarquía de carpetas o utilizando el construido en el servicio de búsqueda.
